Sunny Skies + Wooded Swamp + Boardwalk = Blissful Nature Hike

One morning while we were visiting Gran and Pop

we set out to visit the Louisiana Purchase State Park

in Arkansas.

The park contains a monumet marking the starting spot

for the 1815 survey of the territory obtained in the Louisiana Purchase.

Unfortunately, I don't have a good picture of the monument.

I guess I was too busy snapping picture

of the beautiful woods and my sweet family!

Kate was very excited to discover an echo in the woods

while Matthew enjoyed a good nap!
