Seven Months!

Happy 7-Month Birthday, Daniel!
You are such a sweet little fella and
we are so very grateful that God brought you in to our family!
At seven months, you love to explore -
although you don't crawl on your knees yet, you can get any place you want
by rolling and scooting across the floor with lightning speed!
And you are strong!  So you can already get in to drawers and toy baskets.
I love your curiosity and the pure joy that you express when you achieve your goals.
I hope you'll keep this adventurer's heart as you grow.

I'm also thankful for this weekend that we've had together.
Daddy, Kate and Matthew are down in NC visiting Grandma and Papa.
While we've certainly missed them,
I've cherished this special time of having you all to myself.

I love you!

Princesses!

Another highlight of our week at Disney World was meeting
lots and lots and lots of
Princesses!

The kids enjoyed re-connecting with their favorite princess from our last visit...
Rapunzel!

Ariel is also an old favorite...
but this year Kate was really interested in Snow White as well.
So much so, that she choose to dress up as Snow White
for our lunch at Cinderella's Castle!

Not to be outdone by his sister,
Matthew also insisted as dressing up for our lunch.
Isn't he an adorable little pirate?
Incidentally, we've had a hard time keeping him out of that costume since we returned home.

Our table at Cinderella's Royal Castle!

 Snow White
 Aurora
 Ariel

Another new favorite this year was Merida...
the heroine of Disney's movie "Brave."
Even though we went to meet her very first thing one morning,
there was a long line.
But, in typical Disney fashion,
there were several fun activities for the kiddos while we waited in line.
 Kate enjoyed trying out archery.
And Matthew enjoyed coloring while we passed the time until we
FINALLY
got to meet Merida!
She was definitely worth the wait!

Family Fun at Disney World

Back in early April,
Tim, Kate, Matthew and I spent a wonderful week in Disney World!
We had a blast!
We missed Daniel but he had a blast with Erin, Grandma and Papa -
and Disney World with an infant just sounds miserable for all involved!

The very best part of the trip was all the time we got to spend together!

Meeting Mickey Mouse was pretty cool too!

Of course, when you are 2- or 4-years old,
the hotel room and hotel pool are highlights too!

As the kids get older, they enjoy the rides more and more.
The Dumbo ride was definitely highlight...

... But the new Ariel ride was their favorite!

... And whenever Daddy said, "No more ice cream!"...

Being Honest...

Sometimes a family photo session is a total disaster.

And this was the best one.
Oh well.
The kids really were cute in their Easter finery...
but you're gonna have to trust me on this one!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter as a family of five!

 My little bunnies!
 So excited!

This is picture is so typical of my sweet Matthew!

Fourth Annual Easter Egg Hunt

On the Saturday before Easter, we hosted our Fourth Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
We love this tradition of celebrating with friends and family
and this year we added a new twist and co-hosted with our good friends,
Tiffany and Mitch Martin!

The Coloring of the Eggs

Grandma and Papa were up this weekend returning my precious Kate
after entertaining her for a week in North Carolina.
She was absolutely thrilled to have them all to herself -
but, boy, was I happy to have her home!
While they were up visiting,
we dyed Easter eggs.
So fun!
