Happy Halloween!!!

We had a really fun Halloween!

We kicked off the holiday Friday afternoon by attending a party at my office...

and kept it going this afternoon by visiting Nana, Great Pop,

Uncle Chris, Aunt Ingrid, Lee and TJ.

Kate wrapped up the day by trick-or-treating with her friend, Justin!

Hiking: A New Favorite Activity

We haven't done a lot of hiking with Kate since she was tiny enough to fit in the Baby Bjorn...

but she really enjoyed it in Chincoteague last weekend!

She loved exploring the beautiful world -

we saw wild ponies, a deer, lots of ducks and herron,

and about a thousand squirrels.

Kate even insisted on walking on her own for about a quarter of a mile.

Amazing!

We definitely need to hit the trails more often back home!

Rainy Weekend in Chincoteague

Despite the torrential rain, we enjoyed a fun and relaxing family get-away in Chincoteague last weekend! We were all glad that Gran and Pop were able to join us!

Kate was on Cloud 9 pretty much all weekend - this child is definitely an "outdoor" person!

She loved meeting some of Chincoteague's famous ponies!

We have really been enjoying the gorgeous fall weather!

Tim, Kate, Elmo and I recently spent a sunny Sunday afternoon

exploring Mount Vernon.

Kate loved running around in the grass!

Hurrah for Fall!

I took the morning off on Thursday to celebrate the first day of my favorite month! Kate and I went on a special trip with her great-grandparents to Burke Nursery's Fall Festival and Pumpkin Playground. Kate had a blast checking out the farm animals, swinging, and playing on a merry-go-round with Nana and Great Pop!
