Fun with Pop!

We are so glad that my Dad was able to visit

for a few days this week!

Matthew enjoyed getting to know his Pop

and, of course, Kate loved having him here, too!

The highlights of his short visit were

dinner with my grandparents

followed by dessert with Uncle Chris and Lee

and

a trip to Great Falls Park.

Unfortunately, I forgot to get out the camera

while the NoVA Gleasons were here.

But, here are some pictures from our trip to the park:

Breathtaking falls!

As you can see, Kate was very intrigued

by the pole indicating the high water marks:

But the highlight for Kate was definitely

climbing around on rocks with Pop!

Matthew went with us and enjoyed the

warmth and rhythmic motion of the Baby Bjorn -

it just doesn't make for good pictures!

Roosevelt Island

On Sunday afternoon, we headed over to Roosevelt Island

and enjoyed a leisurely hike / nature walk.

Fun times!

Finger Paints!

Kate is very interested in arts and craft activities these days.

So, we've been finger-painting lately.

Fortunately, the paint is washable -

and non-toxic!

Hard Life!

Poor Matthew has a hard life!

When he's not playing...

or being carted around to his big sister's activities...
he's sleeping!
