Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See?

One of the many wonderful things about living in the DC area

is proximity to the National Zoo!

I love being able to visit the zoo on a whim

and without feeling pressure to see EVERYTHING in one visit.

This morning, we focused on getting to know the panda bears.

It was our first trip to the zoo that Kate actually noticed

and seemed interested in the animals.

In prior trips, she was just interested in watching the other people visiting the zoo.

Lawyers Have Heart

Now, you may not believe this...

but lawyers actually do have heart.

On Saturday morning,

Tim and I took Kate to the "Lawyers Have Heart" race in Georgetown.

We stood near the starting line

and Kate LOVED watching all the runners sprint by us.

Then, we joined in the 2 mile Family Fun Walk...

which is more our speed these days!

We had a busy and fun-filled weekend!

After the race, we joined some friends for brunch,

we hit the neighorhood pool twice,

we got to visit with our friends (the Kamans)

when they came to spend the night on Saturday,

and we had a fun cook-out for Grandpa's birthday on Sunday evening!

And all of that is IN ADDITION to the normal weekend errands and chores.

Whew!

and we were all very excited to have them down from Philadelphia this weekend!

We all had fun playing with Kate -

and we also enjoyed a dinner for just the grown-ups on Saturday evening.

We're Back!!!

My blog posts have been a little spotty lately

because we lost our nice camera a little over a month ago.

Bummer!

So, we bought a new one on Saturday as an early Father's Day present for Tim.
